Te Papa Museum

Day 1

Wellington, New Zealand's capital city is fast becoming known as the country's most vibrant and interesting city. Spend a day in the innovative new national museum Te Papa, take a journey up the Cable Car to the botanical gardens and walk through historic Thorndon, or shop till you drop.

Day 2

Depart Wellington by ferry and arrive by sea to Picton via the glorious maze of deep coves and bays of Queen Charlotte Sound. On arrival to Nelson follow one or more of the 13 Arts and Crafts trails, or make up your own. Don't miss visiting Hoglund Glass Studios to watch the artists at work.

Day 3

Blenheim is located in the heart of Marlborough, New Zealand's largest wine growing region. The region has gained international acclaim as having the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world. Visitors are encouraged to make some time to sample the province's flavours - from fine wines to boutique brews, fruit liqueurs and olive oil.

Day 4

Return to Wellington, or extend your itinerary another day and travel to Kaikoura for a whale watching expedition.
